What we will consider
We will consider applications to support proposals which fall within the Foundation’s Objects, which are to promote the appreciation, knowledge and study of the arts and of artistic achievement in all their forms in Herefordshire and Worcestershire
We are keen to support a wide variety of projects and causes. Examples include
- Backing to festivals, societies and companies in their promotions and developments, and providing start-up finance for the mounting of arts events.
- Commissioning art or craft works for particular locations or performances.
- Helping talented young people to get the training they need.
- Sponsoring lectures, seminars or conferences designed to develop thinking and practice in the arts and their presentation to the public.
We are happy to collaborate with local authorities, businesses and arts development agencies in ways which can make the most of the possibilities in any given situation, and are involved as matching partners in bids to the National Lottery funds operated by Arts Council England, the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Big Lottery Fund.
Applications from organisations must involve professional artists in projects and programmes for the benefit of people in Herefordshire and Worcestershire. We will consider all associated expenses, including core administrative costs. We will generally expect to see income from revenue receipts and other grantmaking or sponsorship sources in the overall financing. We are prepared to make commitments, or expressions of interest, which could help applicants in their fundraising elsewhere.
