In it's first year the new post of Development Manager had four key priorities:

  • Project Steering Group and Grant Panel Membership
  • Direct Organisation Support and Development
  • Acting as a Catalyst
  • Project Definition/Fundraising

It is difficult to measure the extent of the impact of a new development role in just 12 months. The role was most successful at maximising funding opportunities for existing networks and partnerships, such as the newly established Worcestershire People Dancing Consortium. For projects that involved the creation of new networks 12 months was simply not long enough to bring about real financial benefit or lasting project development.

As a result of direct fundraising and/or organisation support a total of £218,242.31 of new arts money was brought in across the two counties throughout the duration of this contract.
